340 years of national collections! View the anniversary videos on research (in Finnish only)

In November 2018 the Finnish Museum of Natural History Luomus celebrated the 340th anniversary of the national collections in natural sciences.

In honour of the anniversary, entrance to the museum was free of charge on Father’s Day, 11 November, while a ceremony for invited guests was held on 21 November. During the event, funds were raised to reform the exhibition activities of Luomus and to digitise the over 13 million natural specimens.
