The Lieksa meteorite assumed its place in the national collections in May 2018, as Vallimies presented his discovery to the Finnish Museum of Natural History Luomus. The characteristics of this rare iron meteorite will be surveyed in a range of further studies, to be conducted collaboratively within a broad research network.
